Current Thames Valley Police Chief Constable Francis Habgood will retire in March 2019.
The BBC reports that his successor is due to be confirmed at a hearing by the Thames Valley Police and Crime Panel on Friday 1 February.

Following a detailed selection process by the Thames Valley’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Anthony Stansfeld, Deputy Chief Constable John Campbell has been chosen to take over the role.
After working with West Midlands Police and Hampshire Constabulary, Mr. Campbell joined Thames Valley as a chief officer in 2010. He was promoted to Deputy Chief Constable in 2015. In that same year he received the Queen’s Police Medal for services to policing.
